PSYCHOTHERAPIST
Hello!
Hi, I’m Alex. I’m really glad you’re here. I’m a relational therapist who specializes in identity and LGBTQIA+ issues, trauma-related disorders, psychedelic integration therapy, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. I hold advanced trauma training in Brainspotting and EMDR, and my therapeutic work integrates relational therapy, schema therapy, somatic practices, mindfulness, parts-based work, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I’m a body-positive, sex-positive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician, and I strive to offer a space that is inclusive, affirming, and grounded in safety and respect for all identities and lived experiences.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University. My clinical background includes working in a substance use treatment facility across both inpatient and outpatient levels of care, serving clients of all genders. I’ve also worked in an eating disorder treatment center, supporting clients in residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. I primarily work with adults and adolescents.
As both a therapist and human, I believe in the healing power of connection, compassion, and authenticity. My approach to therapy is holistic, honoring the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of each individual. I aim to help you access your inner wisdom, explore your story with curiosity and compassion, and move toward deeper self-understanding and alignment. I meet each client where they are—with nonjudgmental support, deep listening, and genuine care.
I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you lean into who you truly are.
