PSYCHOTHERAPIST
Hello!
Hi, I'm Kelsey. I'm a therapist who works with individuals ages 3 through adulthood. I specialize in supporting clients navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, Autism, relationship challenges, and major life transitions—such as divorce, adoption, and the blending of families. My therapeutic approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and honoring each client’s unique story. I incorporate a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma, CBT, DBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, Family/Marital Systems Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Strengths-Based Therapy. I also enjoy weaving my clients' interests and passions into the therapeutic process.
I earned my Master of Science in Human Environmental Science with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Alabama. When working with children, I frequently use play therapy and hands-on activities to help them express themselves in ways that feel natural—especially for those who may struggle with verbal communication. I also believe strongly in collaborating with parents to support a child’s progress both in and out of session.
As an affirming clinician, I am committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I recognize the importance of representation and affirmation in the therapeutic journey and welcome clients of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and family structures.
Above all, I believe therapy thrives in a trusting, nonjudgmental environment. I’m here to walk alongside you—honoring your strengths, meeting you where you are, and supporting you as you work toward the life you want to live.
